"You're all I know. That's really less to keep in my head than you might think." Nicolas looked down at Lestat, not even considering for a moment that he'd be wrong in his estimations. The other way round was a different matter, because Lestat hadn't wanted to know him that well and Nicolas shouldn't even blame him, because would he not prefer ignorance as well? But blaming Lestat was a lot easier than just accepting that someone like him would have to be left behind no matter what.
